Sugar Prices Slide as Sugarcane Crushing Accelerates in Brazil

March NY world sugar #11 (SBH25) today is down -0.46 (-2.16%), and March London ICE white sugar #5 (SWH25) is down -9.40 (-1.74%).

Sugar prices today are under pressure, with NY sugar falling to a 1-1/2 week low and London sugar sliding to a 1-month low after a larger-than-expected amount of sugarcane was crushed in Brazil in the second half of last month.  Unica reported today that Brazil crushed 20.35 MMT of sugarcane in the second half of November, above expectations of 15.5 MMT.
