Sugar Prices Settle Higher on Reduced Sugar Output in Brazil

March NY world sugar #11 (SBH25) Friday closed up +0.08 (+0.36%), and December London ICE white sugar #5 (SWZ24) closed up +2.10 (+0.37%).

Sugar prices edged higher on Friday due to smaller sugar production in Brazil.   Unica reported Friday that sugar output in Brazil's Center-South region during the second half of September fell -16.2% y/y to 2.829 MMT.  Gains in sugar were limited, however, as 2024/25 Center-South sugar output through September is up +1.5% to 33.154 MMT.
