Sugar Prices Retreat on Rain Forecasts for Brazil

March NY world sugar #11 (SBH25) Monday closed down -0.46 (-2.00%), and December London ICE white sugar #5 (SWZ24) closed down -6.70 (-1.16%).

Sugar prices retreated Monday as rain forecasts for Brazil sparked long liquidation in sugar futures.  Forecaster Maxar Technologies said Monday that substantial showers are expected this week into next week for Brazil's sugar-growing regions, which should improve moisture and crop conditions.
