Sugar Prices Recover as Rain Slows Brazil’s Sugar Harvest

October NY world sugar #11 (SBV26) is up +0.06 (+0.34%) today, and December London ICE white sugar #5 (SWZ26) is down -0.80 (-0.16%).

Sugar prices initially moved lower today, with NY sugar posting a 4-week low and London sugar falling to a 1.5-month low. However, prices rebounded and are trading mixed as short covering emerged on concerns that rains in Brazil are slowing the country’s sugarcane harvest.
