Sugar Prices Rally on the Outlook for Tighter Global Supplies

May NY world sugar #11 (SBK23) on Tuesday closed up +0.38 (+1.82%), and May London white sugar #5 (SWK23) closed up +12.70 (+2.10%).

Sugar prices Tuesday extended Monday gains, with NY sugar climbing to a 1-month nearest-futures high and London sugar posting a 6-1/2 month nearest-futures high.  The outlook for tighter global sugar supplies has sparked fund buying of sugar.
