July NY world sugar #11 (SBN24) on Tuesday closed up +0.24 (+1.29%), and Aug London ICE white sugar #5 (SWQ24) closed up +3.00 (+0.55%).

Sugar prices Tuesday recovered from early losses and settled moderately higher as a fall in the dollar index (DXY00) to a 1-week low sparked short covering in sugar futures.
