NEW DELHI: After rattling batters in the just-concluded ODI World Cup, India's star pacer Mohammed Shami took on Pakistan's controversy-mongers in a recent interview and went on to slam those former Pakistan cricketers who wanted to grab attention with their controversial comments, which showed them in poor light.
Shami ended the World Cup as the tournament's highest wicket-taker with 24 scalps despite not playing the entire tournament. Warming the bench for India's first four league matches, it was only Hardik Pandya's unfortunate ankle injury that brought Shami into picture, after which he didn't look back.
