Stephen Crainey felt Dion Charles' second strike for Bolton Wanderers in the victory over his Fleetwood Town side was a 'freak' strike and a 'suckerpunch' in the League One final day encounter.
Wanderers went behind thanks to a brilliant finish from Barry Baggley, but the hosts struck back before half-time thanks to Charles ending a goalscoring drought which run until mid-February with a low strike.
Declan John then put the hosts in front with a great low finish after the break, before Joe Garner levelled from a corner to put the Cod Army back on level terms.

Charles scored from 45 yards with a slide tackle which ended up lofting over goalkeeper Alex Cairns and into the back of the net to give Wanderers the lead again.
Jon Dadi Bodvarsson then scored with the final kick of the game as they secured a ninth placed finish with a 4-2 victory after Portsmouth suffered defeat at the hands of Sheffield Wednesday, while the Cod Army secured their League One status despite losing at the University of Bolton Stadium.
Charles' second strike came from a forceful slide tackle on Callum Camps near th centre circle, which ended up looping over Cod Army stopper Cairns and into the goal.
Fleetwood boss Crainey admitted he has never seen a goal like that before and claimed it was a 'suckerpunch' in the encounter, as he revealed mixed emotions at losing a game but also keeping their League One status after Gillingham were relegated following the loss to Rotherham United.
Speaking after the game, Crainey said: "It's mixed emotions and obviously disappointed to lose the game first and foremost. We came here with a gameplan and I believed that we could win the game.
"Unfortunately we couldn't do that and going 2-1 down with Bolton at home, I thought rightl lads, what have you got.
"I thought we responded really well, especially going 2-1 down. We had a few set plays, a few corner kicks and Joe pops up with another goal.
"At that point I'm thinking can we go on and win the game, but then there was a freak goal in the game to make Bolton go 3-2 up.
"That was a bit of a suckerpunch but then obviously we got news through in the dugout that results were going in our favour elsewhere, so it's real mixed emotions at this time.
"I've not (seen a goal like that in my life). It was just a bit of a blocked tackle and it's ended up flipping over and into the net. It was one of those freak scenarios and a few of those have been going against us all season.
"But I thank the club for letting me take this role on. I've enjoyed it and the players have responded every day to me and done everythign I've asked of them.
"Could the results have been slightly better? Yes, but we've had the injury scenario at the club, but the main thing for that group of players when I took over is the remit was to stay in the league and we've done that."
