The best way to spend a day in the sun? On one of Scotland's stunning beaches of course.
But with so many to choose from where should you go for an extra special trip?
Well according to new research, there is only one destination you should have in mind.
A pristine beach with glistening white sands, aquamarine waters and dramatic scenery that will instantly transport you to tropical climes - though perhaps not in temperature.
Achmelvich Beach, which lies just a few miles northwest of Lochinver in the Highlands, has been voted as one of the top trending beaches in the UK.
Found on the North Coast 500 (yet another reason to check Scotland's answer to Route 66 out), this stunning beach is a firm favourite with visitors and locals alike.
Accessed by single-track road, you won't believe your eyes as you discover one of true gems to be found in Scotland's northwest.
The research, which was carried out by Premier Inn, examined Pinterest and Google search data to reveal the UK's top trending beaches, road trips and landmarks to see this summer.
