A popular street artist has left pub goers in Bury stunned with a beautiful mural in honour of footballing legends from Manchester. Scott Wilcock decorated the side of the Coach and Horses in Whitefield with stars from the past and present - with a special addition of the England Women’s captain Leah Williamson holding the Euro 2022 trophy.
Stunning depictions of Eric Cantona, George Best, Collin Bell and Sergio Aguero all joined Leah on the side of the Bury Old Road pub. The final product left landlady Sue Hawley ‘blown away’.
“We have had so many people coming past interested in what he is doing and asking for selfies,” she said.

“He has an incredible talent. The customers just love it.
“I am very pleased with it. When he did Aguero to begin with I was blown away.
“I want to get him back next year to do my other wall now.”
Sue went on to say that there is a mix of fans - mainly Man City and Man United - who come into the pub with varying ages, so she wanted to make sure the wall catered for everyone, as her pub does. The commission for the artwork paid off as it has proven a massive hit.
Collin Bell, a Man City legend, was always going to go up on the pub having such a special connection with the area. The midfielder, who died in January last year, owned former Whitefield restaurant The Bell Waldron.
For the Snow Graffiti artist, he was struggling to work at a fast pace he was stopped by so many in the street. The police even came to assess the situation.
“The police pulled up, nodded at me then drove off,” Scott said in jest. “I smashed it out over three long days.
“All through each day people were beeping and stopping to talk to me. They would park up just to take a selfie with the wall.
“Sue said this continued late after I left. The area is clearly a divide of blues and reds as they would take a selfie with only their own team players but still praising the full wall.”
This was due to be his last painting of the year before he moved on to work on his snow spray work which takes him all the way up to Christmas due to huge amounts of bookings. His last big effort will be a mural to honour her majesty the Queen tomorrow.
