Love Island star Gemma Owen has drawn attention from viewers for never removing her gold Tiffany necklace. And now it's been revealed to have costs an estimated five-figure sum, we can see why.
Gemma Owen has had a lot of screen time on the show so far and as she's the daughter of famous England and Newcastle United football player Michael, it made sense that she was already the most famous Islander, but now even her jewellery is getting the eagle-eye treatment. After some detective work, a keen TikToker has discovered the originals and cost of the jewellery permanently wrapped around Gemma's neck.
The LiverpoolEcho reports Briege Elder posted an explainer video about Gemma's necklace and goes into great detail kicking off by saying: "We need to talk about Gemma Owen’s gorgeous necklace that she is never seen without. About a week into the series I noticed this necklace and thought 'that looks kinda familiar' and also it’s kinda expensive.

"And I was right. The necklace is part of the Tiffany and Co. Graffiti X collection."
She added: "However, Gemma's is a gold choker-style which means a lot thicker and it also has diamonds embellished." Briege wasn't able to find Gemma's exact style but says it's resale value is £7,500 for a plain version without the diamonds. She then estimated Gemma's retails for £15,000 - £20,000.
Viewers were quick to correct Briege by saying the necklace could be almost double her guess, sitting somewhere around £40,000 if it were bought brand new. And many suggested it was a unique piece which would bump up the price even more.
The Daily Star reported the necklace features 92 "round brilliant cut diamonds" alternating between 18k yellow gold X’s, per luxury online second-hand marketplace 1stdibs. It's unclear exactly how much the necklace originally retailed for, but the one that’s already been nabbed on 1stdibs sold for £41,531.65.
