Stunned Ally McCoist brands Alfredo Morelos no goal 'absolutely embarrassing' as Rangers hero savages Nick Walsh

Ally McCoist has ripped into VAR official Nick Walsh and branded the tech operators 'embarrassing' after yet another controversial refereeing moment.

After Kyogo's strike at the other end during the first half of Celtic showdown with Rangers was ruled out for offside, the away side went up the other end and put one away through Alfredo Morelos. But it was also ruled out by Kevin Clancy for a foul on Alistair Johnston and VAR agreed with the whistler's decision, much to the dismay of the commentary box, with McCoist and Andy Walker left stunned.

Rangers hero McCoist could not believe his eyes at the decision and video ref Walsh's role in it in the week Walker sparked controversy with his VAR revelation. He blasted on Sky Sports: "It is never a free kick, I will clear it up for you right now, it is never a free kick. Honest to goodness, it is absolutely embarrassing the way we are running VAR, absolutely embarrassing. We are a laughing stock but anyway, game on.

"The both of them are holding each other and Morelos gives him a little nudge. Nick, what you seeing son, come up here and tell us what you are seeing.

"It is remarkable. Just as well I didn't ask you what they were saying in VAR there, Andy. I think this is one of the problems we have with VAR, if Kevin C;ancy has made a decision we can say ok, we think he's got it wrong. But VAR going and checking the decision makes the officials look totally incompetent."

Soon after the incident, Kyogo eventually got on the scoresheet to put Celtic ahead, much to the dismay of the Rangers camp.
