There are an estimated 39 million vehicles travelling across the country’s roads, and stopping by at a service station can either be a joyful respite or an absolute hassle depending on the station you end up at.
Thanks to a recent study carried out by Kia, the best-performing service stations in the UK have now been revealed, meaning drivers can easily plan their journeys.
The study looked at the different service stations’ customer reviews, number of amenities, quality of amenities, free parking duration, electric charging availability, and overall aesthetics.
Based on those, each station was given a score, with 1 being the best possible rating.
Gloucester Services, which was deemed the overall winner, is located on the M5 and has stellar Google Reviews. It was also found to have beautiful aesthetics, EV charging points, and up to three hours of free parking.
If those weren’t enough, the service station is also home to a vast number of amenities, including a farm shop and kitchen, gelato counter, children’s play area, dog walking routes, dining terrace and lake.
Tebay Services was the runner-up with its attractive aesthetics and farm shop.
In third position was Beaconsfield, which has super-fast IONITY rapid charging for electric cars. Drivers will also find a pub and a large lakeside walk should they stop by.
