Student urination case: 'Abduction to murder' charge added, 1 re-arrested

MEERUT: Police added IPC section 364 -- kidnapping or abducting in order to murder -- and sections of Arms Act in the FIR against the three culprits who had allegedly humiliated and urinated upon a 20-year-old student from Meerut, nearly a month ago.

The cops also re-arrested Ashish Malik, 24, the main accused. He was sent to 14-day judicial remand. The 'non-bailable' IPC section 364 states that "one shall be punished by RI for a term which may extend to 10 years, and shall also be liable to fine".
