Student charged over hospital rampage against medics and police

A 19-year-old woman is due in court charged over a rampage against medical staff and a police officer at the Royal Liverpool Hospital.

Liverpool John Moore's University student Catherine Louise McSorley, originally from Belfast, is alleged to have struck a health care assistant over the head with a metal pole as well as attacking a paramedic and a police officer.

The incidents occurred in the hospital's A&E department at around 9.45pm on September 11 last year, after McSorley, now of Mount Pleasant in Liverpool City Centre, was taken to A&E.

McSorley was arrested, questioned and later released pending investigation

Merseyside Police has confirmed she will appear in Liverpool Magistrates' Court on March 1, to face three charges of assaulting an emergency worker.

The health care assistant was reportedly "ambushed" by a woman who appeared to wait with the metal pole, understood to have been part of a drip stand, before striking her to the head in full view of other patients.

Coleen Rooney's brutally honest answer about how her marriage survived Wayne's brothel visits

Coleen Rooney has explained why she stayed with husband Wayne after learning of his nights spent with sex workers.

The 35-year-old, who has been married for more than 13 years and in a relationship with the footballer since she was 16, talked about how Wayne seeing other women, who he paid for sex, pushed their relationship to breaking point.

As a teenager, stories emerged in 2004 saying Wayne, who was an Everton star at the time, had visited a brothel multiple times with pals on drunken nights out.

After he married Coleen in 2008, further stories emerged in 2010 about a threesome with escorts Jenny Thompson and Helen Wood which happened the previous year, as well as date nights out with Jenny, according to the Mirror.

There were rows after Wayne’s cheating, but mum-of-four Coleen ultimately stood by the ex-England striker and they are now trying to draw a line under the incidents in a new Amazon documentary.

When asked why she stayed with him, Coleen said: “When you’re making them decisions, you’ve got to focus on what you want, because you have so many people saying different things to you."
