There are plenty of delays in football games due to weather. On Friday as Virginia Tech played at Old Dominion, whether the game would resume depended on getting coaches out of a stuck elevator.
The game was knotted 10-10 at halftime when it was announced on-air that the third quarter would not start on time because some Hokies coaches were lodged in an elevator that had become jammed.
No word on whether it was because there was too much weight in the elevator, a frequent reason for breakdowns.
