'Stubborn' exes go on holiday 7 MONTHS after break-up as it was already paid for

A couple who broke up months ago went on a lavish holiday together - because they had already paid and both were too 'stubborn' to give up on the trip.

Influencer Mimi documented her holiday with former partner Wairua in a series of cringe-inducing videos on TikTok, showing the pair on the plane, island hopping, and visiting cafes together.

Mimi explained that the pair had broken up seven months ago but they'd already paid for the non-refundable trip to Bali, Indonesia, so went anyway.

Soon Mimi had millions of views and some followers said her life was like a 'real-life romantic comedy', but others weren't so sure the story was genuine.

Mimi, who shared their trip on her TikTok account, where she uploads as @documentwithmi, captioned one clip: "When you booked a non-refundable Bali trip a year in advance but broke up seven months ago."

In another video, she said: "We booked nice accom and both of us are too stubborn to book somewhere else because we paid."

Withing days, Mimi's video had over 30m views and thousands of comments, as some said their trip looked like a rom-com.

One user said: "Breakups, Bali, and makeups. Coming this summer."

And Mimi replied: "Now this is something I would pay to watch for sure."

Another follower commented: "You are going to come back married."

And another sympathised, writing: "My ability to get a refund on a non-refundable ticket is undeniable."

But other fans weren't so sure, and suggested the whole thing could be a publicity stunt for Wairua's new clothing business which launched in January.

Mimi didn't respond to the comment, but tagged the clip 'TikToxic'.
