Perth and Kinross residents are being urged to seek support and advice on how to keep their homes warm and cheaper to heat.
Over the past year the council has committed over £5 million to support people through the cost of living crisis.
The local authority recently bolstered its funding for winter warm homes packs and warm spaces after demand exceeded expectations.
An additional £100,000 of PKC funding was agreed in November 2022 after the initial £320,000 for local projects quickly ran out.
The warm homes packs include the likes of blankets, hot water bottles, thermos flasks and slow cookers.
Deputy SNP council leader Eric Drysdale added: “The cost of household energy has increased significantly, and I know it is a real worry for many of our residents.
“The council has pulled together advice and information on its website about a number of issues to support people through the cost of living crisis, including links to free local and national sources of advice and support on making homes more energy efficient.
“A more energy efficient home can reduce the amount of energy you need to use – saving you money and helping the environment.”
This week a council spokesperson urged residents worried about the cost of living to visit PKC’s website or get in touch.
The spokesperson said: “We understand the impact the cost of living crisis is having on many of our residents.
“Over the last year the council has committed over £5 million to support people through this crisis and this includes funding to community groups to provide warm spaces and to distribute warm home packs.
“Our website is also regularly updated to provide residents with advice on what support may be available to them, including Home Energy Scotland, and how to access it.
“I would urge anyone worried about money to visit www.pkc.gov.uk/costofliving or to contact out Welfare Rights Team on 01738 476900.”
