Strong Earnings Push the S&P 500 to New Record High

THe NI COR United States Nasdaq Dow Jones CDW Jeff Schmid US Federal Reserve Iran

The S&P 500 Index ($SPX) (SPY) today is up +0.46%, the Dow Jones Industrial Average ($DOWI) (DIA) is up +0.74%, and the Nasdaq 100 Index ($IUXX) (QQQ) is up +0.51%. September E-mini S&P futures (ESU26) are up +0.50%, and September E-mini Nasdaq futures (NQU26) are up +0.47%.

Stock indices are edging higher today, with the S&P 500 and Dow Jones Industrials posting new all-time highs and the Nasdaq 100 posting a 1-month high. Some positive corporate earnings results are supporting gains in stock indices today. Booking Holdings is up more than +7% after reporting better-than-expected Q2 gross bookings. Also, Amgen is up more than +5% after reporting stronger-than-expected Q2 EPS.
