Bolton Wanderers named a strong team full of first-team players for the reserves' Central League clash against Fleetwood Town as Lloyd Isgrove returned from injury but was taken off early in the first half.
Gethin Jones also returned to action for Wanderers after having been on compassionate leave recently following the death of his mother, Karen.
Joel Dixon began as goalkeeper with a back four of Jones, Alex Baptiste, Adam Senior and Liam Gordon.
George Thomason and Kyle Dempsey began in central midfield, with Jay Fitzmartin and Lloyd Isgrove on the flanks, with Xavier Amaechi in behind Elias Kachunga.
Wanderers had a first half strike ruled out for offside when Jones crossed from the right for Gordon to finish, but the flag went up.
Isgrove was replaced soon after that by Max Conway, as Wanderers switched to three at the back.
Dempsey saw a free kick go over the bar, while Elias Kachunga nodded a header wide as the clash went in goalless at the break.
The visitors started the second half better and Dixon was called into action on a couple of occasions to preserve the deadlock.
At the other end, Kachunga played in a lovely pass which Fitzmartin nearly got on to.
Kachunga, Jones and Dempsey managed around 65 minutes before being taken off in a triple substitution.
Arran Pettifer drove into the box from the right to tee up Sam Olawumi whose scuffed shot was claimed by Fleetwood's goalkeeper.
Not long after that, Max Conway bust a gut down the left flank to charge into the box before his cross was cleared as Wanderers pressed for the opener.
But the visitors took the lead with a low finish from Max McMillan before Amaechi had an effort saved shortly after at the other end.
However, Gordon then went on a run down the left flank and his low cross was slotted home by Senior to level the score and share the spoils.
Bolton starting line-up vs Fleetwood: Dixon; Jones, Baptiste, Senior, Gordon; Isgrove, Thomason, Dempsey, Fitzmartin; Amaechi, Kachunga.
