Strictly Come Dancing is set to return to BBC One in September and now the show's professional dancers have been spotted filming their opening sequence. Strictly recently revealed the celebrities that will be taking part for 2022.
Earlier this year, it was confirmed that four new professional dancers would be joining the series. Lauren Oakley, Michelle Tsiakkas, Vito Coppola and Carlos Gu have all signed up. Find out more about them here.
New exclusive pictures obtained by The Mirror show some of the male professional dancers relaxing in between takes for the opening number of the upcoming series. Some of the show's most well known dancers, including Gorka Marquez, Cameron Lombard, Johannes Radebe, Graziano Di Prima and Nikita Kuzmin were all seen looking relaxed as they took a moment away from filming.

Whilst in costume, the group could also be seen taking pictures for their own social media as they enjoyed the sunshine. Strictly, which is returning for its 20th series, will once again be hosted by Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman. Also notable in this year's series is the return of the live studio audience. The upcoming launch show - which will see the celebrities paired with their professional partners for the first time - will record on Wednesday, September 7 and be broadcast on BBC One on either Saturday, September 10 or Saturday, September 17. This will be confirmed in due course.
Similar to previous years, the celebrities will then get time to rehearse a dance routine with their new partners. The first live show of the series will be on Saturday, September 24 on BBC One, the series will then continue weekly as normal through to Saturday, December 17 with the live final.
