Ola Jordan has opened up about her dramatic weight loss after shedding three dress sizes in just four months.
The former Strictly Come Dancing professional wanted to completely overhaul her lifestyle and went from a size 14 to a size eight in a bid to live a more healthy life, writes The Mirror.
The 40-year-old said that she really wanted her former dancer body back but wasn't sure she would ever feel 'sexy' again after giving birth to her first child in 2020 and gaining weight during the pandemic.
Her weight gain really got to her and left her feeling down and Ola would refuse to leave the house and became a 'shell of her former self'.
However, Ola has turned it around and has dropped over three stone in just a matter of eight weeks and has said she feels like a different person.
Speaking to the Mail Online, she said: "I feel like I've lost a whole person. A size 14 was my biggest. I'm quite short as well so a size 14 for some people isn't big and that's the problem with weight and sizes because some people say a 14 isn't big.
"But being 5ft3 and a size 14 is big. I'm a size eight now. I missed my old self. There's nothing wrong with admitting it."
She added: "People now preach body positivity, and they accept it, but I really missed my old self and that's not just my body it was with dance and everything else. Health is important for me, and I want to stay healthy for as long as I can."
Ola was also joined on her health and fitness journey by her husband James and said they were encouraged to lose weight after having a 'wake-up call' when they shared an 'unflattering' picture of themselves in swimsuits this summer.
Sharing a clip of them which flicks between their before and afters, they couple penned: "Hey watch us lose 6 1/2 Stone in 6 seconds!" James and Ola began with their message to their fans on Instagram.
"It took a bit longer than that in reality - four months in total. Although the first two weeks were quite dramatic. We lost 2 Stone between us in a fortnight. Pretty crazy eh?! But we had a lot to lose and you always lose more in the first couple of weeks."
In a video chat they uploaded last month, James, 44, spoke to the camera, saying: "We've come on here today just to have a little chat with you, because so many people have commented and noticed that myself and Ola have lost a considerable amount of weight, which we have and we're very proud of and very happy about it."
"Since Ola posted that unflattering picture back in the summer, we have both shifted a lot of timber."
Ola added: "I think we both needed that wake-up call and realisation where we'd got ourselves to. We needed to change our ways and be healthy for Ella. We needed to keep healthy for her."
James then said: "Because we were unhealthy. We went to the doctor and were both told we were in the obese category. Which for us as professional dancers, to be told that you're obese wasn't very nice."
Ola said it was a 'hard pill' for them to swallow.
However, they took matters into their own hands by exercising more, watching what they eat as well as controlling their portion sizes.
