Molly Rainford is the centre of uproar from fans of Strictly Come Dancing, after the front runner landed in the bottom two in a truly shocking result.
A consistent high scorer and the youngest contestant on Strictly this year, Molly, star of CBBC series Nova Jones, has been earmarked as a potential finalist for weeks, but she and pro partner Carlos Gu suffered an unwanted and unexpected setback, when they received their their lowest score of the series on Saturday night.
The pair performed their Couple’s Choice routine to the theme from Grange Hill, but it received a very like self response from the judges, with head judge Shirley Ballas calling them out on it all being very ‘one note’ and there being no progression in the characterization throughout the dance.

In a week when things were very close on the leaderboard, Molly and Carlos ended with a total of 30.
That wasn’t enough to keep them out of the dreaded dance-off after the public vote, with the third shock bottom two in as many weeks, after Fleur East and Kym Marsh also slipped into the danger zone.
While Molly and Carlos were saved, viewers were furious they were in the bottom two. Taking to Twitter one vented: “ Crazy that molly was in the bottom 2. But after all @bbcstrictly is a popularity contest more than a dance contest.”
A second complained: “I think it was really poor to see Molly in the DO. She was much better than quite a few of the others, but not surprised by the way the GBP vote,” but hinting at why Molly may have found herself in trouble a third tweeted: “ think it could be the VT about her stage school. People like an underdog. I do like her though. Just trying to read the British public!”
