Strictly's Kaye Adams posts video from the bath as she battles painful injury

Strictly Come Dancing contestant Kaye Adams has admitted that training has taken a toll on her body this week.

The 59-year-old TV presenter is learning the Charleston with her professional partner Kai Widdrington, but appears to be suffering quite a bit.

Taking to her Instagram Story late last night, Kaye filmed herself in the bath and looked rather flustered as she spoke to camera.

"I never have baths. I hate baths. I can't remember the last time I had a bath. Day two of training, I'm having a bath," she said.

Kaye captioned the video: "Remember how last week I said my body was fine, it was just my brain..."

She then added: "Well this week is a very different story..."

And on Wednesday morning she shared a close up picture of her thigh covered with a strip of kinetic tape which is used to support and relieve pain in muscles, joints, and/or ligaments.

It comes after Kaye made an appearance on Monday's Loose Women and admitted to her co-stars that she was suffering with a painful groin.

On Monday's Loose Women Kaye admitted that she was suffering from a 'groin strain' (ITV)

When Janet Street-Porter asked her: "What part of your body is aching the most now?" Kaye quickly replied: "My brain!"

She then said: "It is actually my brain... I've got a wee groin strain but you don't wanna hear about that, TMI!

"If you've never ever danced before, it is trying to make your body respond to these messages from your brain that it's just not used to! I've never been sending these messages, I've never been able to co-ordinate movement really!" Kaye added.

Strictly Come Dancing continues Saturday at 6.30pm on BBC One.
