Strictly Come Dancing's Jowita Przystał has paid an emotional tribute to her celebrity partner Hamza Yassin, after they lifted the iconic glitterball trophy.
The couple were named Strictly champions after receiving the most public votes during Saturday night's spectacular finale which saw the class of 2022 reunited.
Hamza and Jowita were up against Helen Skelton, Molly Rainford and Fleur East, and on Sunday, Jowita took to Instagram to say that the BBC cameraman and wildlife photographer who lives in Ardnamurchan, had made her the "proudest teacher."
Jowita wrote: "First day when I met you @hamzayassin90 on top of that lighthouse I knew our journey will be great. I’ve asked you for two things trust and energy and you gave me much more.
"Seeing you pushing the boundaries, going out of your comfort zone, working so hard throughout those 13 weeks made me the proudest teacher. You’ve proven everything is possible if you willing to fight for it.
"Last night we decided to celebrate our journey and the goal was to enjoy every second on that floor. And oh I couldn’t be more prouder. For me it was the most beautiful night and I felt honoured and blessed to finish our journey with our couples choice.
She continued: "As you said is about representation and love… and I know a lot of people are inspired by you and you’ve brought so much light and smile to everyone at home thank you for being you and for those 13 beautiful weeks! You are a champion!!!! WE DID IT!
"Congratulations to all of the finalist, you’ve all been amazing. Every each of you have been a superstar and it was pleasure and honour to be in this final with you! Congratulations to all of the couples it was so nice to be all together again! You’re the best and I’m so happy to have you in my life! Made friends for life.
"Huge thank you to all production, make up and hair team, wardrobe, everybody who works behind the scenes without you this show doesn’t exist! I love you all! Still need to process what happened last night…. Forever grateful! #hamzita #grateful"
