Joe Sugg transformed into the Grinch for Christmas after his partner Dianne Buswell addressed rumours that they had split.
The YouTuber wore a full elf costume and added a terrifyingly realistic Grinch mask with green hairy hands as he shared his festive outfit with fans on Christmas Eve.
Joe sat with a glass of Buck's Fizz in one hand as he posed in a cosy-looking country kitchen.
"Bah humbug the grinch has been demoted to an elf..." he wrote in the caption.
"Amazing, best photo I've seen all year," one fan wrote in the comments, as another joked: "Have you done something different with your hair?"
The photos seemed to remind some followers of a time that his sister Zoe, who went under the name Zoella for her YouTube channel, dressed him up as the Grinch.
"reminds me of when Zoe turned u into the grinch," one reminisced.
Another chimed: "never going to forget when zoe turned you into the grinch so iconic"
Joe's picture comes after Strictly Come Dancing star Dianne addressed the recent rumours that the pair had split.
The couple, who have been together since 2018 after they were partnered on the show, sparked speculation after she flew to Australia alone.
Some followers were worried that they had gone separate ways, but others suggested they might just be spending the festive period with separate families.
One person wrote in the comments of Dianne's initial post: "Couples can have Christmas apart."
Another had written similarly: "They're still individuals with families to spend time with. Not every couple need to be together 24/7, it's healthy to be apart sometimes."
Dianne appeared to squash the rumours after sharing a snap of herself and Joe on a video call together.
They were both grinning at each other through the screen from other sides of the world.
Dianne was joined by her older brother Andrew, who was dressed up as Father Christmas.
Joe has been documenting his "wonderful trip to the shire" as he stays in a beautiful country home.
While he was gushing about his stay "at the amazing Court Farm", Joe dropped Dianne a decor hit, writing: "I kinda want our house to look like this!"
The bedroom was rustic and cosy, with a wooden sliding door leading to the bathroom.
On the bed was a huge fake fur throw and some scatter cushions in a soft beige.

Behind the barn door in the bathroom is a contemporary roll top bath.
He also waxed lyrical about the building's log burner, which has been keeping him toasty during his stay.
"You cannot beat a good log burner this time of year," he wrote.
