Hamza Yassin and Jowita Przystał have opened up about their continuing friendship amid romance rumours.
The duo won Strictly Come Dancing last year after wowing with their incredible routines, but the wildlife cameraman was said to be "quietly devastated" with rumours that Jowita is dating her fellow professional dancer Giovanni Pernice. Jowita reportedly got close to Giovanni when they danced together on the BBC show and are believed to have got close.
Hamza and Jowita appeared on ITV's This Morning today, where they chatted about their friendship going forward and how they trust each other completely. The pair are excited to work together again on the Strictly live tour.
Speaking to hosts Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield, the dancing duo said they were friends for life and would continue to be close going forward. Hamza revealed he and Jowita are always being told off for chatting in rehearsals.
The pair appeared on The One Show yesterday, where they spoke about their instant connection.
Hamza said: "I didn’t think I could dance. You were fantastic about just bringing everything out, knowing my weaknesses and my strengths. I still can’t fathom that we won it," whilst Jowita added: "This is not about me. This is all about Hamza. Meeting him for the first time, I knew straight away. I could feel that in my bones. I was already picturing what we could do on the show."
It comes after insiders claimed Hamza was "quietly devastated" by claims Jowita and Giovanni were dating.
A source told The Sun previously: "Hamza and Jowita became very close and at times were quite touchy-feely. People would often see them sneak off together. But while Jowita thinks the world of him, she held back from anything romantic and kept him slightly at arm’s length. While Hamza wants her to be happy, he was quietly devastated."
Rumours about Jowita and Giovanni have been circulating since the pair performed together in October, and the Strictly couple went public with their romance at Chelsea footballer Jorghino's lavish birthday bash recently.
"She and Gio are the worst kept secret, but make a great couple," a source added, "While they both kept insisting they were single, the pair’s chemistry was ridiculous — and they kept getting busted snogging in corridors."
