Gorka Marquez has warmed fans' hearts with a sweet update on returning home to fiancée Gemma Atkinson and daughter Mia after his disappointment in the Strictly Come Dancing final at the weekend.
Gorka and celebrity partner Helen Skelton were second favourites going into the Strictly finale on Saturday night, having been firm favourites with fans all series and never having to battle for their place in the competition in the dreaded dance-off. They were behind Hamza and Jowita in the bookies' winner odds prior to each of the four remaining couples performing three dances in the final and, in the end Hamza and Jowita lived up to expectations by snatching victory.
While plenty of viewers were quick to celebrate the result, others flooded Twitter with observations about how gutted Gorka, an empty handed finalist three times now, looked, as the winners were announced. He silenced any 'sore lower' accusations by commenting on Jowita's Instagram result to congratulate her, with Helen also defending him.

There was more disappointment for Gorka fans on Tuesday, when Helen was confirmed for the Strictly live tour, but not with Gorka, with her instead joining the line-up alongside Kai Widdrington.
Gorka is now enjoying some well deserved rest and relaxation with Gemma and Mia, fresh from Gemma being left in tears in the studio audience on Saturday, as Helen paid tribute to her other half. After posting a photo on his Instagram of the the together, Gorka and Gemma both uploaded videos of them enjoying Jason Manford in panto in Manchester, with Gorka quipping that he wasn't sure who was enjoying it more,, Gemma or Mia, as Jason belted out his Assembly Bangers single.
After all the excitement of Wednesday night, Gorka uploaded a video of Gemma and Mia in the kitchen of their family home on Thursday morning, soundtracking it to the song Home Again.
