Giovanni Pernice has delighted fans by revealing that he has had a reunion with former Strictly Come Dancing partner Rose Ayling-Ellis, with the pro going to support the EastEnders star in her new acting venture.

It's hard to believe it, but it's now been over a year since Giovanni and Rose stole the hearts of the nation on their way to winning Strictly's Glitterball trophy, impressing with a whole host of routines, particularly their Couple's Choice to Clean Bandit's Symphony, which saw them dance to 10 seconds of complete silence in tribute to the deaf community, after Rose became the BBC show's first ever deaf contestant.

Rose and Giovanni defeated John Whaite and Johannes Radebe in last year's final, before going on to win all but one show on the Strictly live tour and accepted a BAFTA, with their Couple's Choice being voted Must See TV Moment of the Year. The last time Rose and Giovanni were seen together was on this year's Strictly launch show, but they were reunited when Giovanni went to see the actress in action at London's Soho Place.
