Strictly Come Dancing star Fleur East broke down in tears on Saturday's show - and now she's revealed why.
The talented singer, 34, was overcome with emotion after dancing the Viennese Waltz with partner Vito, prompting many fans to ask if she was ok.
Fleur told host Claudia Winkleman it was combination of tough rehearsals and early mornings on her Hits Radio show.
However, the star has now explained the real reason behind her tears.
Speaking on Hits Radio this morning, Fleur revealed: "All day I was trying to make sure I found the right emotion for this dance as I was really worried about going on there, being quite blank and empty and just doing the steps. I really wanted to commit to it.
"But just before we danced, I went to see my family who were sitting in the audience and my Uncle Sean lifted his arm to show me his wrist - and he was wearing my Dad’s bracelet. He didn’t even say anything to me, just showed it to me and that set me off. It was just seconds before I performed and with everything else and just being nervous, I started crying, blubbering!"
Fleur's father, Malcom, sadly died in 2020 before getting the chance to see his daughter take to the Strictly stage.
The singer continued: "In rehearsals I have never acted that way before and as soon as I faced Vito in the dance for the first time he looked at me and his eyes were like ‘oh my gosh she’s crying’ and then immediately he got more into the emotion of it and we were both just really overwhelmed by the end of it."
Th star's dad was a huge Strictly fan, with Fleur revealing Malcom used to be constantly checking his phone for updates on the show while he was watching her perform on The X Factor back in 2014.
Speaking on Good Morning Britain in the summer, she said: ""Dad was a Strictly fan," Fleur said as she teared up. "I'm gutted that he can't see it... I wasn't expecting to get this emotional about it."
Fleur and Vito have been wowing fans with their performance and are among the favourites to waltz off with the Glitterball trophy in December.
However on Saturday's show they received a mixed reception from the judges, who award the couple 28 points.
Fans were fuming with the score and pledged their support for Fleur, with one tweeting: "If there's any justice, Fleur East is going to win this season."
