Strictly's Dianne Buswell says head judge Shirley Ballas 'apologised personally' over slip-up

Strictly Come Dancing's Dianne Buswell has said head judge Shirley Ballas apologised to her after calling her the wrong name on last week's show. The professional dancer, 33, who is partnered with Tyler West this year, discussed the moment on Strictly: It Takes Two with Janette Manrara on Wednesday, November 9.

Janette said: "You came out on social media and talked about how Shirley accidentally called you Diana, but you weren't bothered by that were you?" and Dianne replied: "No, not at all. And she actually apologised to me personally as well and said that it was an honest mistake.

"My pop [used to] call me Diana all the time. I quite like it. We're all human aren't we? We're doing the best we can and sometimes, people make mistakes," she said as Janette commented on how Shirley got caught up in the excitement of the moment.
