Dianne Buswell is a beloved Strictly star, but the dancing pro says she's pursuing a career in acting.
The Australian TV star, 33, says however that her quest for film fame won't distract her from treading the boards on Strictly every Saturday and Sunday night.
Diane's career change comes after squashing rumours of a split with boyfriend Joe Sugg, whom she met when they were partnered with each other on Strictly in 2018.
The star, who has been vying for the glitterball trophy since 2017, is certainly busy at the moment, as she has a new book out and reports suggest the couple are selling their home.
In February it was also reported Dianne had signed up to Celebrity MasterChef, following in the footsteps of Strictly stars Johannes and Katya Jones, among others, who have taken part in the BBC 1 cookery show.
The determined dancer said she had always wanted to try acting, when asked by heat magazine what she wants to achieve this year.
She went on: "I'm taking it quite seriously. I've always been a little performer, and there's no time like the present."
When asked if Strictly will be part of her future, the Dianne said: "Absolutely. Acting is just a little side project, really, so who knows where it will take me?
"Strictly is my absolute passion and I always see that in the future."
Appearing on Lorraine this week, Dianne praised her boyfriend's dancing skills, following split speculation, sparked by her going to Australia on her own in December.
Lorraine asked: "Are you still dancing with your lovely man Joe? Are you two still dancing together?" Dianne responded that she was, before saying in reply to the second question: "Yes we are".
Speaking about Joe's moves, she said: "He puts his little ballroom frame up almost every day."
She further commented to Lorraine: "It's getting better. You know he actually is very good. I would love to actually do a proper competition with him [and] see how he goes".
The interview comes following reports that Dianne and Joe are selling their home in West Sussex. The Sun reports that their £1.35 million property has been put on the market.
The couple - who are said to have purchased the property around two years in 2021 - are believed to have found another house together.
Speaking to the Mirror about the split rumours earlier this month, Dianne said: "It makes me laugh that people think I wouldn't go and see my family without Joe."
She went on: "He knows I don't live anywhere near my family, so if there is any chance I can go to see them… he doesn't have to come with me everywhere."
Seemingly further confirming that they are together, Dianne said it would be "great" if he proposed one day. She added: "We haven’t really spoken about it, so if it happens, great. If not, we're happy with how things are going."
