It's girl power for Strictly partners Jayde Adams and Karen Hauer, who have formed a strong friendship.
The pair have revealed that they’re as close behind the scenes as they are while dancing in front of the cameras.
Opening up about their tight bond, pro dancer Karen, 40, said: “We cry all the time.”
And comedian Jayde, 37, revealed: “We talk about life, we spray lavender oil on each other, there’s face masks, there’s a little potion that goes on me or we spray the rooms…”
Karen added: “She walked in not feeling great and I was like, ‘Come on, freshen up, put some lipstick on and get your hair out’. And then literally it changed our moods.”
Since starting out on her Strictly journey, Jayde has received some nasty comments about her weight, but she refuses to let the trolls get her down.
“Basically, every time I’m on television there’s someone on the internet that’ll say something disparaging about my weight,” she said.
“But what’s absolutely brilliant is that while they’re sat at home on their own talking about my weight to their two followers on Twitter, I’m on the biggest dance competition on television.”
Jayde credits her mum Gail with giving her body confidence.
She said: “I grew up with a mum that was incredibly body positive and she really protected me from the knowledge that I was different from other people.
“That was really important because I’ve got this huge armour against it.”
Last week, Jayde and Karen were praised for their inspirational performance to Flashdance.
Former Adele impersonator Jayde – who used to dance with her sister Jenna before she died of a brain tumour in 2011 – said that while she had been sent some nasty messages online, there had been some lovely ones, too.
She revealed: “Someone got in touch and said, ‘You make me feel confident about myself’. That’s what I care about.
“So basically, for me, if people want to say stuff, go ahead. Because every time they do, I know I’m helping other people.
“While the world constantly tells us that the most important thing about us is the way we look, I’m here to show that actually, the most important thing in the world is inner confidence.”
