Helen Skelton has posted a cryptic New Year's message on social media, which has left people wondering if it is a subtle dig at her ex. It comes as the Strictly Come Dancing star broke up with her ex husband Leeds Rhinos rugby player Richie Myler back in April 2022 after nine years of marriage and just four months after she gave birth to their third child

In her cryptic social media post she told her followers: "Hey 2023….. this is me. Never complain. Never explain. Just crack on." Her message was uploaded along with a black and white picture of herself smiling in what looks to be like gym attire, as reported by Lancs Live.

Many fans and celebrity friends rushed to comment on the post. Former Strictly dance partner @Gorka_marquez said: “Sounds like a day of rehearsals.” @Theunmumsymum wrote: "Always classy, HNY xx."
One fan @Boleynclaudia wrote: “This is gonna be your year Helen! Good things are coming to you!” Another, @Noojourney21, said: “I don’t know how you do it…… so much respect for you.”
A third, @Jamesgill808, added: “Most amazing lady she is. Enjoy your day Helen.” And a fourth, @Susan_parrish123, gushed: "Get out there with new beginnings!!! You’ve been given a second, better chance. Embrace it, enjoy the new challenges and making new friends. Good luck Helen for a welcome, happier future with your beloved children xx."
Since their split, Richie has gone on to date Stephanie Thirkill, the daughter of his club's president Andrew Thirkill. The pair are now expecting their first child together.
Meanwhile, Helen has had plenty to keep her busy as she won over the hearts of the nation as she took part in this series of Strictly Come Dancing. Although she did not win the series, she was runner-up along with her dance partner Gorka Márquez in a four-person final.
In an emotional social media post in April last year, Helen revealed her marriage split-up: "Very sad to say that Richie and I are no longer a couple. He has left the family home. We will be doing our best to co parent our small children." Helen and Richie married in 2013 and have three young children, Ernie, six, Louis, five and Elsie Kate, four months.
