Frustrated Strictly fans have blasted the judges for sending the 'wrong' celebrity home after one of the "most difficult" dance-offs the panel have had to choose between. After a glitzy episode where Strictly Come Dancing returned to Blackpool for the first time in three years, the eighth celebrity was sent home after a very tough dance-off.
The judges faced a difficult decision after both celebrities in the bottom two performed well in the dance-off, as Kiss FM DJ Tyler West and his professional partner Dianne Buswell faced singer and actress Molly Rainford and her partner Carlos Gu before he was voted to leave the show. Tyler said his time on Strictly has given him confidence and a “new-found family”.
Despite scoring an impressive 35 on Saturday night for his salsa to Megamix by KC and The Sunshine Band, Tyler found himself in the dance-off. After both celebrities excelled in their fight to remain, performing better than they had on Saturday night, the judges struggled to choose who to send home.

Craig Revel Horwood said he felt both couples danced “so much better” and that for the first time this series he was finding it difficult to choose, but he finally opted to save Molly. Motsi Mabuse agreed the second performances were better but said she was basing her decision to save Molly on technique styles and presentation.
Anton Du Beke did choose to save Tyler, as he felt he was more "dynamic" meaning head judge Shirley Ballas had the deciding vote. She said: “This is probably one of the most difficult dance-offs that we’ve ever had to choose” and chose to save Molly, sending Tyler out of the competition.
However fans of the show were not happy with the result, with many believing Molly should have been sent home. One said: "Strictly did Tyler and Dianne dirty this week and I’ll stand by that" and another added: "Aw no!! Wrong decision #StrictlyComeDancing".
A third said: "Well that is the totally wrong decision. Judges got that SO wrong #Strictly #StrictlyComeDancing" and: "Absolutely gutted for @TylerWestt and @dbuzz6589 should not have gone home!! #StrictlyComeDancing". A fifth said: "@bbcstrictly terrible terrible decision to see Tyler go. #StrictlyComeDancing"
Tyler said being on Strictly Come Dancing has greatly improved his confidence. He thanked Dianne and said: “This girl here has changed my life, for sure. To think I was some shy kid who never used to talk to anyone, to dancing in front of millions, I can’t put it into words."
He added: "This show has changed my life in the sense it’s given me confidence, a new-found family, every dancer, everyone in hair and make-up, costume."
