Strictly Come Dancing fans were kept waiting until Sunday morning for this week's spoiler to leak online, with some predicting that the delay in the result materialising was because it was the biggest shock of the series so far. And, when it did eventually surface, the outcome caused quite a stir as viewers hit out at this week's song choices once again.
After the show's BBC's 100th birthday theme was widely panned by viewers, who argued that the songs couples were 'forced' to dance to hampered their chances and played a big role in the shock of Molly Rainford ending up in the bottom two, Strictly had another themed week in as many weeks with a Halloween special.
The sixth live show of the new series saw the Strictly judges all get into the spirit, with makeovers including a very striking Craig Revel-Horwood as Mortitia Addams, with hosts Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman were slammed for their lack of costumes. When the Halloween Week songs choices were revealed earlier this week, plenty of people questioned how some of them, particularly Beyonce's Break My Soul and Stereophonics and Tom Jones' Mama Told Me Not To Come, fitted the theme, as others looked forward to the outfits all the contestants would be wear.

Plenty of fans predicted Molly would bounce back from the dance-off to the top of the leaderboard, after seeing that she and pro Carlos Gu would be doing an Argentine Tango to Kate Bush's Running Up That Hill. In reality, that didn't happen, although her feedback and scores were better than a week earlier. There were two couples at the top of the Halloween Week leaderboard, with Tyler and Dianne and Ellie T and Johannes, who performed last, both getting 35 out of 40.
At the other end of the standings, James Bye finished bottom on 27, while the likes of Fleur and Helen Skelton were in the dangerous position of middle of the leaderboard, after Claudia had addressed the 'curse' of finishing in that position. Viewers were quick to condemn a lot of the scores awarded, particularly the marks for Hamza Yassin for his tango.
While the Strictly results show isn't on BBC One until Sunday night, the result typically leaks online on Saturday night. But, as the clock approached midnight there was still no news, with the delay prompting some Twitter users to predict a shock result. One tweeted: "The only time its been this late is when they go to Blackpool. I have a feeling its a shocker tonight," with a second posting: "Anyone else just got a bad feeling with not being released yet," and a third reacting: "Could this be a shocking elimination, if it is I’m gonna scream."
Weeks after Strictly judge Anton Du Beke it out at the spoiler on Loose Women, others speculated the 'mole' had been caught, with one asking: "Wonder what has happened to the #StrictlySpoiler tonight? Maybe BBC have caught the mole?" and another, thinking the same thing, writing: "has your mole finally been captured?"
The spoiler did eventually surface not long before 7am on Sunday and, on seeing it, one fan reacted: "Shame the person who should have been in the dance off wasn't. I like the person who went." A second posted: "Oh that's a shame. I really liked the couple that went. Not a great dance for them I guess. I'm not surprised about the other pair in the dance off. I didn't especially enjoy their routine this week."
