This week's Strictly Come Dancing result has been branded a 'disaster' by devastated and angry fans, as one couple were sent packing from the BBC show, after the huge high of getting to perform in Blackpool's iconic Tower Ballroom.
There was a lot of excitement surrounding Saturday night's live broadcast, as Strictly returned to the 'Vegas of the North' for the first time since 2019, the year when eventual champion Kelvin Fletcher, who was in this week' audience, tore up the floor with his and Oti Mabuse's jive to Jailhouse Rock.
The remaining couples in the new series were hoping to follow in his footsteps and, at the end, of what proved to be quite a night in the ballroom, judge Motsi Mabuse quipped: "maybe we just stay here?" after being blown away by how much the celebs and their pro partners upped their game in front of a capacity crowd.

Blackpool Week was a memorable one for so many reasons, the biggest one being Fleur East getting the first perfect score of the series, as Craig Revel-Horwood was even convinced to dust off his 10 paddle. And, for the first time this year, none of the couples got less than 30, with last placed Ellie Taylor still getting 31.
There were three ties on this week's leaderboard, meaning the door was left wide open for another shock result and that's exactly what happened. On seeing who had landed in the bottom two via the spoiler on Twitter, one disgusted fan ranted: "this is a disaster!" with a second simply fuming: "Ridiculous result!"
Another, hinting the judges had a hand in the result, reacted: "he judges have been trying to influence the public voting for years but it’s now reached the point of ridiculousness," with a third tweeting: "NOT TWO OF MY FAVS."
*The results will be revealed in full on Sunday night's Strictly at 7.20pm on BBC One.
