Bristol's very own Strictly star Jayde Adams has paid tribute to her 'Strictly mummy' Kaye Adams, who became the first celebrity to be booted off the BBC show over the weekend. The first public vote of the 20th series of the BBC show saw Loose Women star Kaye against singer Matt Goss in the bottom two, with judges deciding to send the 59-year-old Scottish presenter home.
Kaye, who was partnered with Kai Widdrington on Strictly, danced the Charleston to 'Music! Music! Music!' a second time after it was announced they were in the bottom two in a bid to impress the glitzy panel of judges with their moves. However, the judges ultimately decided that they would rather keep Bros singer Goss, 54, on the show, after watching his samba to Saturday Night Fever with Nadiya Bychkova once more.
Following her departure from the famous dancefloor, Kaye Adams has been praised by her 'daughter' Jayde Adams, who wrote on her Instagram story earlier this morning (October 3): "What a woman @kayeadamsofficial is."

Posting a snap of her with her 'mummy' at the Edinburgh Fringe, Jayde added: "Made a friend for life @kayeadamsofficial."
Kaye, who originally joined daytime ITV staple Loose Women back in 1999, said that she was left 'kicking herself' after she failed to make it through to the next week of the competition. She wrote on Instagram last night: "Well it was a much shorter journey than I'd hoped for but a journey all the same!
"While right now I'm kicking myself for not having performed as well as I could have, at the same time I do feel proud for having jumped in with two left feet into something a couple of years ago I would have run the other mile from. I'll be talking more about my experience on @bbcstrictly It Takes Two tomorrow and on the How To Be 60 podcast when I've had more time to process it all, but right now I want to say a massive thank you to the whole Strictly family - the pro dancers, my fellow performers and the whole production crew - but most of all to @kaiwidd."
Kaye added: "You were an absolute gent the whole way through and made me realise that my two left feet could be turned into dancing ones. I'm just sorry we didn't get to dance together longer.
"And with that to all my amazing fellow Strictly dancers, there's only thing (sic) left to say.... Keep Dancing!!!!"
Kai, whose father Tommy was a director of Bristol Rovers until last year, will still feature in the series' group routines. And of course Bristol's own Jayde Adams has sailed into week three, which is usually Movie Week, which sees the celebs dance to a song made famous on the silver screen.
