Ahead of Friday's launch show, Strictly Come Dancing shared a glitzy clip of Jayde Adams being 'Strictlified' alongside her fellow contestants. After the launch of Strictly was postponed following the Queen's death, fans of the hit BBC ballroom show were thrilled to tune in last night (September 23) as this year's celebrities waltz their way into the competition.
Amongst the glamorous celebrity cohort is Bristolian comedian Jayde Adams, who is taking part in Strictly in memory of her late sister, Jenna, who passed away aged just 28 years old. Ahead of her exciting entrance, Jayde, 37, posted small glimpses into her journey to being fully 'Strictlified', including showing off an exclusive burgundy Strictly flask which she had been given, and footage of her being glammed up for promo shots.
As Strictly fans prepared to sit down and watch the first show of the series, the official Strictly Instagram account has shared clips of this year's contestants being transformed from boring old celebs to sophisticated, glitter-covered ballroom stars. In the video, the famous faces can be seen wearing their normal clothes before clicking their fingers or twirling around to reveal their glamorous outfits.

Posting the clip with Jayde in it to Instagram, the official BBC Strictly account captioned it: "And just like that... our celebs have been Strictlified! #Strictly"
In the video featuring Jayde, the Bedminster comedian can be seen walking in front of a light purple backdrop before removing her flowy white cardigan, which she has teamed with a black vest top, orange jogging bottoms, and black trainers. When the star chucks her cardigan towards the camera, it falls to reveal her wearing a mesh top, white braces, white suit trousers, and sparkly trainers.
Strictly fans and this year's contestants took to the comment section to express their delight at the transformations, with Jayde herself commenting: "God we're stunning."
Fleur East wrote: "The sparkly switch up!! The best feeling ever!"
"Loveeee this!!" wrote Ellie Simmonds. "Look at us."
Jayde has previously reflected on her childhood years, which she spent as Jenna's disco dancing partner. She recently told the BBC that Jenna's love of dance meant that her time on the show would be 'bittersweet'.
"I think the most bittersweet thing about it is that she's not going to see it," Jayde told the BBC. "It's quite intense, I'll be honest.
"It's a big thing for me and my family that I'm doing it, and I'm going to try my hardest not to cry every week because I know how annoying that is, because I've watched the show for years."
The 20th series of Strictly Come Dancing launches tonight, September 23, at 7pm on BBC One.
