Strictly Come Dancing professionals tour - mystery as one key dancer is missing

The Strictly Come Dancing professionals tour is making a return but it seems that one key dancer in particular is missing from the line up.

Giovanni Pernice doesn't seem to be joining his fellow dances on the upcoming tour, despite winning the most recently series.

Photos have been released of the Strictly pros that will be involved in the tour, with the reigning champion missing from the pic.

The line up consists of ten Strictly favourites, made up of: Dianne Buswell, Kai Widdrington, Nadiya Bychkova, Graziano Di Prima, Karen Hauer, Neil Jones, Cameron Lombard, Gorka Marquez, Luba Mushtuk and Katya Jones.

The tour will be directed by the show's Creative Director Jason Gilkison.

He said: "We are delighted to announce this incredible line-up of Strictly dancers for this year's official Strictly Professionals tour.

"These much loved pros are set to dazzle audiences across the country this spring, with two hours of the finest choreography and dancing. Watching them perform at such an incredible standard is an experience not to be missed."

Fans of the programme can enjoy all of the usual glitz and glamour of the BBC show by going to see the tour that kicks off on 28th April in Salford's The Lowry.

The tour will come to an end after travelling up and down the country, on the 30th May Aberdeen's P&J Arena.

Other places where the pros will be travelling to include Glasgow, Nottingham, Oxford, Liverpool, Brighton, Newcastle, Hull, Cardiff, Sheffield, London, Portsmouth, Leeds, Blackpool and Plymouth.

However, Giovanni looks to not be joining his colleagues this year.

It's not known why he won't be on the tour but it seems he will be plenty busy after winning the most recent series of the show with fellow partner Rose Ayling-Ellis.

The pair shot to success throughout the series, being one of the fan favourites from day one.

Rose, who is an actress on EastEnders, was the first ever deaf contestant to take part in the show but this didn't hold her back at all.

The star revealed that she was able to dance in time to the music by feeling the beat of the songs and counting the beats to make sure she stayed in time.

She also had a BSL interpreter with her at all times while on the show, with Rose being able to receive her comments from the judges by looking at her interpreter.

People in the studio while they were on the dance floor were asked to not clap or make any noise to make sure nothing interrupted Rose concentrating.

One week in particular stood out for the couple when they made Strictly history.

Giovanni and Rose performed their Couples Choice dance where they included a ten second silent segment to show the audience how Rose felt as she was dancing.

Initially the pair scored 39 out of a possible 40 marks, with Craig Revel-Horwood scoring a nine.

However, when they performed the dance for a second time in the final, they managed to achieve full marks.
