Strictly Come Dancing fans complain about Tess Daly wardrobe 'blunder'

Strictly Come Dancing fans pointed out a Tess Daly wardrobe 'blunder' during Saturday's live show (November 12). It came as the presenter wore a bright pink shift dress, as she was joined by co-host Claudia Winkleman.

But fans were unimpressed with the knee-high black boots Tess had paired with the dress, reports the Mirror Online. Taking to Twitter, one fan wrote: “Seriously, what does Tess's dresser have against her? Constantly putting ugly boots with a nice dress.”

Another echoed: “Are boots in style or does the Strictly wardrobe department hate Tess?” Another fan asked: “How does Tess always manage to ruin her outfits with just one accessory or embellishment – why the black boots with that dress?? It would look so much better with high heel shoes.”

“Tess’ boots don’t go with her dress again. Does she keep forgetting her right shoes?” another asked. Another added: “Why would Tess wear a strapless fluorescent pink dress with long black boots Strictly they don’t go together.”

“Ugly boots with gorgeous dress again for Tess,” one wrote as another added: “OMG Tess Daly those boots are WRONG.” Hosts Tess and Claudia welcomed Strictly Come Dancing viewers as the BBC One show prepares to return to Blackpool next week for the first time in two years.

The much-loved themed episode had been suspended due to the Covid-19 pandemic but will return for the 2022 edition of the hit ballroom dancing show. Instead of the studio’s ballroom floor, the celebrities travel to the Blackpool Tower Ballroom to sashay onto the dance floor in front of judges Motsi Mabuse, Craig Revel Horwood, Anton Du Beke and Shirley Ballas.

This comes after Ellie Simmonds became the sixth celebrity to depart the dance floor in Strictly after facing Molly Rainford in the dreaded dance-off. Both couples were voted to perform their routines again, with Ellie and professional dance partner Nikita Kuzmin performing their Charleston to Too Darn Hot from Kiss Me Kate.

Molly and her dance partner Carlos Gu then performed their foxtrot to You Make Me Happy by My Sun and My Stars in a bid to impress the judges and remain in the competition.

Ultimately, all four judges decided to save Molly and Carlos from elimination, leaving Ellie and Nikita to go home.

Strictly Come Dancing returns on Sunday evening on BBC One.
