Streamvale Farm has thanked the public for their quick response after a baby had a medical emergency.

The popular family farm in Dundonald thanked those who came to the aid of 'baby Eric and his family' after he had become unwell while they visited the farm on Saturday, April 8.

After asking for medically trained visitors to assist them during the emergency, they said that a number of carers and emergency workers rushed to help out.

The family of baby Eric told the farm that he is now doing well and has returned home from hospital, with them thanking everyone who came to his aid.

Streamvale issued a statement on social media saying: "A massive thank you.

"Anyone who was at the farm last Saturday morning might remember we asked for anyone medically trained to assist us.

"Wee baby Eric became acutely unwell, and we had so many people (from nurses, carers, police officers & fire fighters) rush down to help us out.

"The family wanted us to thank each & every person who came forward to help while they waited on the ambulance to arrive. The family said it was extremely reassuring for them to have had medical professionals on hand.

"Baby Eric is now back home from hospital with his family and doing very well.

"From Eric’s family & Team Stream…. a big thank you to all involved!"
