Stranger's act of kindness for mum-of-two who asked Aldi cashier to stop scanning

An Aldi customer was praised for her kindness after helping a struggling mother pay for her weekly groceries at the checkout.

When the woman saw Francesca Jay ask the cashier to stop scanning when the bill reached to £50, she stepped in and offered to pay for the ice lollies left at the till.

The generous woman, a stranger to Francesca, saw Francesca's son William, then four, become upset when the frozen treats were left behind with vegetables, and bread.
