People reported seeing a "strange" green light in the skies in one part of Merseyside.
Residents living in St Helens said they spotted the "streak" between 9.10pm and 9.30pm on Thursday in the Parr/Sutton area. One person told the ECHO they thought it was a "laser" however thought it was something else when it didn't move.
Speaking to the ECHO, the woman said: "At first I thought it was a laser but it stayed perfectly still for a least 10 minutes so I thought it couldn't be that it would have moved. Then these pictures was taken within seconds and it had moved from one side of the house to the other."

Pictures shared with the ECHO shows a green streak above houses. Dozens of people said they also spotted the unusual light in the St Helens area and many had suggestions of what it could be.
The suggestions ranged from the Northern Lights, to laser pens, to meteors to even aliens. However it's unclear what the lights actually were.
On Thursday, a "bright orange fireball" was caught streaking through the sky on a taxi dashcam. Stephen, who did not want to give his surname, from Kirkby, said he out working taxis and was driving on on Holly Lane in Aughton on his way to pick up a customer when he noticed something in the sky. He said it was exactly 12.45am today when he spotted the "bright orange fireball with tail."
Speaking to the ECHO Stephen said: "It lasted approximately 10 seconds from northwest of the horizon downwards to the southeast of the horizon." Stephen said it was "definitely a meteor, absolutely no doubt about it" and the taxi driver added it was "amazing and shocking" to see.
He told the ECHO : "Yes I was shocked when I saw it It’s only the second one I have seen before, I saw a similar one about 10 years ago." The video caught on Stephen's dashcam showed a bright light streaking through the sky before vanishing behind some bushes.
