Londoners dreaming of a white - or even a cold - Christmas appear out of luck as forecasters are predicting mild weather for December 25.

While the northern half of the UK is bracing itself for the arrival of Storm Pia, the Met Office says temperatures in the capital are predicted to be an almost balmy 13C on Christmas Eve and 12C on Christmas Day.
