Storm Eunice: Part of major motorway to shut on Friday morning due to high winds

Storm Eunice Cork Dublin M8

Gardai have confirmed that part of one of Ireland's busiest motorways will close on Friday morning due to fear of high winds from Storm Eunice.

The M8 from Dublin to Cork will see Junction 14 southbound and Junction 15 northbound close between 3am and 9am on Friday morning.

Both junctions are at Fermoy, which is facing a red weather warning from Met Eireann, as are three other counties.
