Amber weather warnings have been issued for parts of north-west England and Northern Ireland as Storm Debi hits the UK, bringing heavy rain and severe gale-force winds.
Power outages have been reported across the island of Ireland, with tens of thousands of homes left without electricity after the storm made landfall overnight.
