A second storm has been named by forecasters - with gusts of wind reaching 70mph and heavy rainfall expected .
Storm Corrie will bring strong winds eastwards from Scotland into England from Sunday, according to the Met Office.
Corrie follows on the heels of Storm Malik, which battered Greater Manchester and the country with severe gales on Saturday, reports The Mirror.

A woman cheated death when a huge falling tree crushed her car in Altrincham, Trafford, earlier today - Saturday.
A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Police said her injuries were not believed to be life-threatening after she was rescued by firefighters.
Elsewhere, a woman aged 65 sadly died after she was hit by a falling tree in Aberdeen, Scotland.
Weather warnings for strong wind remain in force in Greater Manchester for Sunday and Monday.
The Met Office said the new storm - Corrie - will remain into the week, and it's feared Scotland will bear the brunt of its impact.
The Met Office said: "Inland gusts could reach 60-70mph, the highest winds are expected over the northern half of Scotland, north of the Central Belt.
"A yellow severe weather warning for wind is in force."
Chief meteorologist Dan Suri said: "Storm Corrie will bring very strong winds to the north of the UK, especially northern Scotland, on Sunday. This follows just one day after Storm Malik moves though also bringing a spell of very strong winds.
"Storm Corrie will bring gusts of up to 90mph in exposed coastal locations in northern Scotland, with 70-80mph gusts more widely in the north. With back-to-back storms there could be updates to severe weather warnings, so keep an eye on the Met Office forecast."
Storm Malik, meanwhile, is bringing 80mph to parts of the UK today.
Met Office says road, rail, air and ferry services are likely to be affected, leading to longer journey times and some cancellations. Some roads and bridges likely to close too.
There is also a good chance power cuts may occur, with the potential to affect other services, such as mobile phone coverage, forecasters say.
Today's amber warning covers central Scotland, Tayside & Fife, Grampian, southwest Scotland and the Lothian Borders. North East England is also covered, including Newcastle and Northumberland.
A yellow weather warning is in place for all of Scotland, much of Northern Ireland and parts of northern England today for wind too.
Met Office added: "An area of strong winds will cross Scotland, parts of Northern Ireland and some northern counties of England on Saturday morning before easing during the afternoon. Gusts of widely 50-60 mph are expected and there is a chance of a brief period of gusts in excess of 70 mph in places, particularly for parts of eastern Scotland later in the morning."
