Indian equities staged a measured recovery on Wednesday, September 16, as buying emerged in banking stocks and select heavyweight counters following Tuesday’s sharp decline.
The Nifty 50 gained 99 points, or 0.43%, to close at 23,217.60, while the Sensex advanced 332.63 points, or 0.45%, to settle at 74,336.45.
From a technical perspective, a decisive move above 23,300 could trigger a recovery towards 23,500 and higher, while weakness could resume below 23,200, according to Rupak De, Senior Technical Analyst at LKP Securities.
Against this backdrop, shares of Infosys, Mazagon Dock, Fortis Healthcare, Kalpataru Projects, JSW Energy, Aye Finance and several other companies are likely to remain in focus on Wednesday following key corporate developments.
Infosys
Infosys announced the expansion of its Indore Development Center with the inauguration of a new Software Development Block (SDB-2) at its campus in Super Corridor, Indore.
Aye Finance
Aye Finance said Jinu Joseph, Chief Technology Officer and designated as Senior Management Personnel (SMP), has resigned from the company.
His cessation of employment will take effect at the close of business hours on September 30, 2026. The company said a copy of his resignation letter was enclosed with the disclosure.
JSW Energy
India Ratings and Research (Ind-Ra), in a release dated September 16, 2026, affirmed the “IND A/Stable” rating for the bank loan facilities of JSW Renewable Energy (Coated) Limited, a step-down wholly owned subsidiary of JSW Energy.
Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders
Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders signed a memorandum of understanding with NSHIPML to serve as the anchor shipyard for the Dighi greenfield shipbuilding cluster.
Kalpataru Projects International
Kalpataru Projects International said its 96.12% first-level step-down material subsidiary, Linjemontage i Grästorp AB (LMG), has received approval from the Swedish Financial Supervisory Authority (SFSA) for the prospectus related to its proposed initial public offering (IPO).
Fortis Healthcare
Fortis Healthcare said it has signed definitive agreements with Seth Sunder Lal Jain Charitable Eye Hospital (SLJ Society) to provide healthcare services at a 400-plus-bed super speciality hospital in Ashok Vihar, New Delhi.
RR Kabel
RR Kabel said India Ratings and Research has revised the credit ratings of the company’s bank loan facilities.
The rating on Rs 13,040 million of long-term and short-term bank facilities was upgraded to IND AA/Stable/IND A1+ from IND AA-/Stable/IND A1+.
Separately, Rs 30,000 million of long-term and short-term bank facilities was assigned an IND AA/Stable/IND A1+ rating.
Juniper Hotels
Juniper Hotels said its board has approved the proposed acquisition of the operating Novotel Imagicaa hotel in Khopoli, Maharashtra.
The proposed acquisition is valued at Rs 248 crore, with the property being acquired from Imagicaaworld Entertainment.
Krsnaa Diagnostics
Krsnaa Diagnostics said it has executed a 15-year concession agreement with the Punjab Health Systems Corporation (PHSC) for the development, operation and maintenance of PET-CT diagnostic facilities at four selected government hospitals in Punjab.
The agreement marks the company’s entry into the PET-CT diagnostic services segment.

Suratwwala Business Group
Suratwwala Business Group said its subsidiary, Suratwwala Natural Energy Resource Private Limited, formerly known as Suratwwala Natural Energy Resource LLP, has received a Letter of Intent from Shree Tatyasaheb Kore Warana SSK Ltd for a 20 MWAC/28.1 MW DC EPC project.
Venus Pipes & Tubes
The board of Venus Pipes & Tubes has approved a proposal to raise up to Rs 371.99 crore through a preferential issue of equity shares.
The proposed issue remains subject to shareholder and other applicable regulatory approvals.
Alembic Pharmaceuticals
Alembic Pharmaceuticals said the US Food and Drug Administration (USFDA) has closed its inspection of the company’s bioequivalence facility in Vadodara, Gujarat.
Juniper Green Energy
Juniper Green Energy said ICRA has upgraded and assigned credit ratings of AA- (Stable)/A1+ to the company’s facilities.
The rating on Rs 2,175 crore of long-term/short-term non-fund-based limits was upgraded to AA- (Stable)/A1+ from A+ (Positive)/A1+.
The rating on Rs 2,628.44 crore of long-term fund-based term loans was also upgraded to AA- (Stable) from A+ (Positive).
An AA- (Stable)/A1+ rating was assigned to Rs 83.24 crore of unallocated limits.
Highway Infrastructure
Highway Infrastructure has bagged a contract worth Rs 220.66 crore from the Uttar Pradesh Expressways Industrial Development Authority (UPEIDA).
The contract is for toll collection and plaza operations on the Gorakhpur Link Expressway.
