The region’s schools will be among the local authority buildings to close on Monday as the country marks a bank holiday for Queen Elizabeth II’s funeral.
All council schools and nurseries as well as other public offices – including libraries – will also shut their doors to allow people to pay their respects to the departed monarch.
However, waste collections will continue with recycling centres at Polmaise, Callander and Balfron remaining open.
All affected buildings from the closure will reopen the following day. A national one minute’s silence will also take place on Sunday, with a two-minute silence taking place during the funeral.
Stirling Council Leader, Cllr Chris Kane, said: “The council recognises just how significant a moment this is in our country’s history.
“It’s important that we therefore offer staff the time and opportunity, where possible, to pay their respects this Monday as the late Queen is laid to rest.
“We also recognise that it is vital to keep essential services running. Any staff who are not able to take the day off on Monday have been given an extra day’s annual leave to take at a later date.”

The council closures for the bank holiday join a spate of other sites closing their doors as a mark of respect to the funeral proceedings.
Stirling Castle will shut its doors to visitors on Monday in accordance with a position held by all sites run by Historic Environment Scotland, with all pre-booked tickets set to be refunded in full.
Active Stirling have also announced a suspension to its facilities and programmes on the day of the funeral, meaning that The PEAK, National Curling Academy, Forthbank Stadium and Raploch Community Campus will be shut.
A number of businesses across the city will also close for the day, including supermarket chains Tesco, Sainsburys, Aldi and Waitrose – all of whom have sites in the city and wider area.
Other popular spots in Stirling, including Primark, Marks and Spencer, Poundland and Holland and Barrett will also be closed on Monday for the funeral.
Stirling’s Vue cinema will also cancel its regular schedule of films on the day of the funeral, instead offering the opportunity for people to head along and watch it free of charge.
For fast food fans, there will be some limitations as well, with McDonalds restaurants closed until 5pm.
